I wanted to make sure I had a record of this threat posted by an administrator in the honor’s college. I would say something, but the administration already knows about it. In fact, I’ve noted my concerns twice when interviewed by human resources. And I suspect this individual knows that I’ve voiced my concerns. Ultimately, I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter what I think, write, or say, unless it figures negatively on me in some way. I tried.
I can’t help it. I miss my facebook friends. But I can’t emotionally afford to stay on facebook.
What my title suggests is that it doesn’t matter what I believe. Everything is what it is. But I will say this. You want to teach the conflicts regarding evolution (Texas Tea Party People) in high school, and along side with creationism? Let’s talk about teaching the conflicts in the bible, starting with the two Eves in Genesis 1-3. One Eve was created equal with Adam. Equal. Simultaneously. The other Eve was taken from Adam’s rib. Noah was a drunk. Teach that, and you have my permission to teach religion in high school. Well, not quite. Anyone who teaches religion anywhere needs to teach the contradictions and conflicts.
